My journey into digital marketing wasn't some overnight success story. It started in 2019 when I was working as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, splitting my time between the pharmacy counter and volunteer work. I had this creative energy that needed somewhere to go—the kind that used to fuel my days at Arts Magnet School and my twenties spent traveling and learning new languages.
At 33, I did something that felt a little crazy: I created 33 Monique Moments on social media and just started posting. That first client paid me $5 for digital design work. But here's what I learned from that $5—people need help telling their story online, and I'm really good at helping them do it.
By 2022, I'd opened my own digital marketing agency. The work was intense and incredible. I built websites that converted, placed brands on Amazon, produced passion project podcasts, designed Pinterest strategies that drove traffic, managed Instagram accounts that grew communities, and even handled product photography. That year, I hit my first five figures as a solo business owner. My creative brain was full and satisfied.
Then in 2023, I made another bold move—I went back to school to become a registered nurse. Some people thought I was walking away from marketing, but I was really just adding another layer to how I understand people, pressure, and what it takes to show up when things get hard.
Now I'm back, bringing everything I've learned from entrepreneurship, healthcare, and real-world grit to help female entrepreneurs and content creators build brands that reflect who they really are. I know what it's like to start from scratch, to question if you're doing it right, and to push through anyway.
